Appendix F: Connecting An External or Spot Out Monitor
APPENDIX F: CONNECTING AN EXTERNAL OR SPOT
OUT MONITOR
Use the Video OUT port (BNC) on the rear panel of the system to connect an external monitor or
spot out monitor (4/8-channel models only). An external monitor displays the exact on-screen
display of the system. A spot out monitor displays channels in sequence mode.
• 16
-channel models only: Use the Video OUT port (BNC) to connect an external monitor. Use
the Spot OUT port (BNC) to connect a spot out monitor. Monitor connected to Spot OUT port
cannot be configured as an external monitor.
To connect an external monitor:
1. Connect a BNC cable (not included) from the Video OUT port to the monitor.
NOTE: A
BNC-to-RCA adapter (not included) is required to connect a monitor with RCA inputs.
To configure a spot out monitor (4/8-channel models):
1. Connect a BNC cable (not included) from the Video OUT port to the monitor.
2. Right-click to open the Quick Menu, and click Se
tup ( )>Main Menu ( )>System
Setup ( )>SPOT SETUP. Check Enabl
e Spot. Right-click and click Yes to save.
To connect a spot out monitor (16-channel models):
• 16-channel only: Connect a BNC cable (not included) from the Spot OUT port to the monitor.
